What is the heaven effect?

The heaven effect is;

“To be blessed beyond reasonable explanation, only explained by divine intervention”.

We are a designer streetwear brand that was started roughly 5 years ago. The Heaven Effect is engaged in producing high quality designer street wear whilst promoting a positive message on resilience, faith in GOD and yourself.

It is a brand that resonates with the black sheep of this day and age. Being a black sheep is challenging, but so rewarding. Once a black sheep finds their way, their purpose

and their people… There is no stopping them. THE HE, Is a community for all those blessed to be an outcast, giving them a platform to speak and share their thoughts.

The heaven effect is one of those life changing moments, where you look back at the events/events that have taken place in your life; and not understand how you survived.

The only explanation to what just occurred, is means of divine intervention, hence - “Being blessed beyond explanation”.

Furthermore, it is important to encourage collaboration and help others along the way, thus;

“Finding heaven in every story”, was born.

To promote this, the heaven effect will run a series of interviews that will focus on people with a creative flair and talent. This can range from art, singing all the way through to a dancer. It is imperative to shine light on these creatives. A key motif throughout the interviews will be comparing their past struggles versus; their current self.

Everyone has something unique to offer.

This will be expressed through the use of creative talent in the form of monthly collaborations, in the form of a 3 part project.

This will include an interview, a collaborative design effort and finally, a photoshoot.

These interviews will be in collaboration and produced by @facesfromhell, a photo and videographer who tackles current issues aiming to reinforce the topics we discuss and

share as well as providing a platform for participants to inspire us with their stories of resilience.

Our product

Heaven Effect prides itself on originality From conceptualisation through to tangible product; everything is original.

Our graphic design process is unique and done all in house. It pulls from many different mediums and media to achieve an exclusive look. Every idea, albeit silhouette or graphic design, starts off on paper.

Keeping all aspects of design, under one roof; creates a totally unique look that cannot be replicated, and completely exclusive from the ground up. The majority of pieces and collections that you see posted up on socials and the website are limited run and exclusively dropped.

Why are these interviews and collaborations important?

As I experienced more and more of my own Heaven Effects, I also grew closer to god. At some point in my life, things started to go drastically downhill. I was falling out with all my friends, on drugs, unhappy, in and out of jail, selling drugs, fighting, and crime.

eventually something clicked and I kicked it all and swapped it out for all this, following my dreams. It's important to share perspectives, prevention is important. there are a few points to understand why i do these interviews, and they will be listed below;

Shine light on others, create art. encourage collaboration and education.

Collaboration and teamwork can be some of the best ways to create good art. Furthermore, I would love to create a space where people can freely bounce their ideas around without judgment.

By participating in the collaboration they will naturally learn about other facets of art. Promoting education and giving the chance to step into another lane.

By making art with locals, Everyone benefits from this collaboration. there is no monetary effort required on the participants' part. The only thing we are trading is the exposure to each other's followers, the art, and the experience we make doing it.

Motivation, resilience.

I have also realized that when I struggled with life, it was those stories of resilience and hardship that really made me dig my feet in and hustle. I then had to fall flat on my face, mature and turn to God; in order to realize that no one's story of greatness comes without failure, pain and tears.

People like myself have been through absolute storms, yet I am still here smiling and I have never once given up, there is no reason you should either.

Showcase reality

There is too much facade, smoke and mirrors in today's day and age, and social media has weaponized this.

it is not healthy to be fed lies all day, let alone an unrealistic lifestyle unattainable by regular means of civilian life.

everything that will be spoken about in these collaborations will be honest, raw and real. It is vital that we are creating a realistic sense of reality amongst the people watching our content.

too many people are suffering mental illness due to the unrealistic expectations put onto us day to day. too many people are afraid to speak up and talk about their insecurities, oblivious to the fact this is what helps the future.

Because of how social media has portrayed this unrealistic ‘perfect life’, it has led people to continuously bottle up their traumas, their issues, and it is creating a clear spike in mental health conditions and illnesses.

Check up on your mates / it ain't weak to speak

create a space where people can come and let out their problems, help create something special by turning their pain into art. Learn to channel that energy into something positive.

Conversation

It is imperative that art and fashion is thought provoking and we question it. together with the art that will be generated in these collaborations, traditionally “taboo” topics will be spoken about, in a raw and real format.

the “interviews from heaven”, will become a platform to express yourselves, it will be a podium of hope and inspiration, and a beacon of light in dark times. somewhere we can look to for answers to real problems.

  •  cover current issues our culture faces both domestically and internationally.
  • do so through a non biased, ‘no bullshit’ lens.

this will inherently cause;

  1. conversation
  2. the breakdown of traditional and outdated barriers 
  3. encourage critical thinking

This is more than a clothing brand.

The heaven effect logo will be remembered and recognized everywhere around the world. it will be a symbol of faith, strength and resilience. a symbol for black sheep & outcasts everywhere.
